MSAC for Students
The Medical Student & Alumni Centre is a social and recreational facility for UBC medical students located at the corner of 12th Avenue and Heather Street near Vancouver Hospital. The MSAC was created for their use through generous donations from alumni, students and others. Its ongoing expenses are funded by alumni contribution, student fees, and rental income from functions such as university and hospital activities.
Undergraduate students in the medical/dental first and second programs and third and fourth year medical students are entitled to use MSAC. Access is via Vancouver Coastal Health picture ID.
Students use this recreation centre to park bikes, have a shower, watch TV or a DVD, heat up lunch, work out in the gym, check email or go on the net, play piano, tan (sunshine required), meet with other students or, when necessary, study.
Lockers and locks are provided free of charge.
MUS-approved club events and Post-Graduate Residency Program-approved events will be provided meeting space in the MSAC facility and MSAC Network access (UBC Policy #107)
